No account

RoastOS does not require an account or sign-in to use its core features.

No tracking or analytics profile

RoastOS does not use its roast state to track you, build an advertising profile or measure your behaviour across apps and websites.

Local roast content

Roast content is stored with the app and selected locally. The app does not send your roast history to a remote service in order to choose the next line.

Local device context on Mac

The macOS version may read limited device state locally, such as CPU or memory usage, available storage, battery state, uptime, thermal state, running-app counts or similar system context, to make some roasts more relevant. This information is processed on the Mac and is not uploaded to RoastOS servers or used to create a behavioural profile.

iPhone and iPad device information

RoastOS may display basic local device information in its widgets, such as device model, operating system version or available storage. This information is used locally for the interface and is not transmitted as telemetry.

Widgets and notifications

Widgets and optional notifications are presentation surfaces for RoastOS content. Notification permission is requested only if you enable notifications. Notifications are off by default. Apple Watch does not use RoastOS notification scheduling.

Local app data

Preferences, current roast state, recent roast identifiers and scheduling state may be stored locally or in the app's shared App Group container so the app and its widgets can stay in sync. This is functional app data, not analytics data.

Purchases

RoastOS may offer optional tips through Apple's in-app purchase system. Tips do not unlock features or content. Purchase processing is handled by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy practices.

Third-party services

The RoastOS website may link to the App Store, GitHub or other external services. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
